Admission to a Postsecondary Diploma or Certificate Program Scanned original copy along with notarized English translated copies of one of the following: • All India Senior School Certificated awarded by CBSE/ Indian School Certificate (awarded by CISCE) • Year 10 and 12 State Board Exams Math Requirement • Applicants applying to Business, Computing or Engineering programs with a math grade of 50% in Grade 10 will be eligible for admission. • Practical Nursing and Pharmacy Technical diplomas require a minimum grade of 60% in Higher Secondary School Certificate in Math. Other Requirements • A minimum grade of 50% of the maximum marks is required for all relevant subjects. • Subject to competition, applicants may be required to present averages/grades above the minimum. Bachelor’s Degree Program Scanned original copy along with notarized English translated copies of one of the following: • All India Senior School Certificated awarded by CBSE/ Indian School Certificate (awarded by CISCE) • Year 10 and 12 State Board Exams • Include transcripts for any postsecondary courses or programs completed Other Requirements Minimum grade of 56 % in Higher Secondary School Certificate. Subject to competition, applicants may be required to present averages/grades above the minimum. Graduate Certificate Program (Post-Grad) Scanned original copy along with notarized English translated copies of University degree and transcripts. Business Post Graduates (excluding Human Resource Management) • Applicants must have been placed in first or second division to qualify. • Applicants with 15 years of education will require to have a minimum average of 55% in their Post Secondary studies to qualify for Sheridan’s Business Post Graduate programs • Applicants with 16 years of education will require to have a minimum average of 50% in their Post Secondary studies to qualify for Sheridan’s Business Post Graduate programs
It is highly recommended that you consider your housing options prior to arriving to Canada. One of the first things you should consider when choosing your home while you study is location. Of course, the closest you can be to the Campus is living on residence. Residence is available at both the Trafalgar and Davis campus. Please note: If you are studying at the Hazel McCallion Campus and wish to live on residence, you would be placed at the Davis campus residence. You will receive an eight-month bus pass that would allow you to travel between campuses. In addition to this, Sheridan does offer a free shuttle service between campuses. Sheridan's residences feature modern, clean facilities; a safe, smoke-free environment; and fully furnished suites with common kitchen and laundry facilities. Sheridan College Residence provides international students with all the basics needed to establish a life conducive to study abroad. Upon arrival to Sheridan College Residence a member of the Residence team will greet you, provide you with a tour of your new home and introduce you to your roommate. Sheridan College Residence is proud to offer you a complimentary welcome package that includes all the items that you will need to make Residence your home away from home. If you do not wish to live on campus, the maps will give you an idea of the surrounding area of all four campuses. If you find a place outside the area, a good idea is to search directions to and from your location on Google Maps and check the walking or bus route. Apart from location, another issue you may face is simply finding a starting point to look for places. There are some websites you may wish to use to search for places for eg.Places 4 Students is a website specifically designed for helping students find places to live near their schools. Places4Students provides a real-time database of student housing vacancies around campus. Students can view property photos, floor plans, features and details around Sheridan College campuses. Students can also post or find roommates on the site. If you are looking for a place to stay temporarily while you look for a permanent location, you have a number of options. You can visit www.hotels.com to find hotels near the campuses or www.airbnb.com to look for temporary rooms/residences. You can also search temporary housing on Kijiji.
Sheridan offers a variety of scholarships and bursaries exclusively for international students. Although criteria differ for each award, recipients of scholarships and bursaries are typically students who display high academic standings, exemplary leadership skills and community involvement, as well as financial need.
